I've been reading an H.P. Lovecraft lately, so I decided to force this one to inspire me. The scene is taken from the short story "Dagon" where the main character, in true Lovecraftian style, goes completely insane after seeing a giant something in the water.

Nicely done! A little too harsh, maybe soften it up a bit with some light foggy textures. other than that, very nice!

I think I cleared the first and last question up in the note I sent you. Basically, they were by other people.

As for the foggy effect, I played with the transparency of the pictures I added in Photoshop and made the clouds, which were also from another picture, "wrap around" the column thing by not erasing them entirely around that part. It's kind of confusing to explain, but I hope that covers it.

I'm really glad you mistook this for a photograph. That means I'm getting better at this. :D
